I have a macbook air 2015, updated to Monterey and can't find Airplay which I've used to mirror to my Sony Bravia TV. TV is set with bluetooth. Mirroring is on on the laptop. still can't find Airplay or when i tap mirroring it just gives me this.

I have a macbook air 2015, updated to Monterey and can't find Airplay which I've used to mirror to my Sony Bravia TV many times now I can't even find Airplay on my computer. TV is set with bluetooth. Mirroring is on on the laptop. still can't find Airplay or when i tap mirroring in my menu bar it just gives me screen mirroring. I have tried for a couple of hours now and followed all the instructions. Any advice as to what is going on.

It sounds like you're having trouble with AirPlay and we can help.


You said you get Screen Mirroring, when you click that do you see your TV available? In the article you came from, did you take the steps to turn off your TV? Make sure you restart the TV entirely, sometimes displays will have a sleep mode that doesn't entirely restart the TV as you would need to.


Try restarting all the devices involved in the sharing and taking the steps to mirror your screen as seen here:
