AirPrint
Why am I getting “no AirPrinters found” when I was always able to print from my iPhone and iPad? I have done everything as explained in printer, and yes it is on same WiFi network.
iPhone 7, iOS 14

First, does the printer support AirPrint directly? See this article for a list of printers that do→About AirPrint - Apple Support
If the printer supports AirPrint then the Mac is not needed; the iOS devices should be able to find the printer as long as it is on the same Wi-Fi network that the iOS devices are connected to. If it doesn’t you need to troubleshoot the AirPrint connection.
If the printer is not AirPrint compatible you need an app on your Mac that emulates AirPrint. And if you have an M1 Mac you probably need an app that is specifically for Apple silicon. I just checked, and the one I use, Printopia supports both Intel and Apple silicon, but if you have it already you may need to update.
Sorry I did not make myself clear. The printers are attached to my iMac by USB and they work fine. The problem is with my iPhone and iPad, but more importantly with my wife's iPhone and iPad - she does not use a Mac at all. We used to be able to print via the iMac but when we try now there is a notice saying No Airprint Printers found.
I did all three with no luck. I then I did a software update and it worked
Great! I guess I should have thought of that😏
I have the same problem but it was the result of changing from a 2013 iMac to a2022 iMac M1. Can you tell me which software update helped you?
A Mac does not need or use AirPrint, which is needed only for iOS. A Mac should be able to print directly to a Wi-Fi connected printer. All 3 or our Macs do with no problems, including an M1.
Thank you very much. I went down the Printopia route and all is now working as it should. I am grateful for the tip.
