Apple ID Issues So I had damaged my phone and my friend gave me his old one, and I logged into my Apple ID on his phone. I got a new phone, my current one, I logged out of his and for some reason in my new phone, his name appears as if it were mine. It has my apple ID and my information but it displays his name and when I click on update Apple ID Settings it asks for his apple password. How can I remove this? since I do not wish to have his Apple ID on my phone and wish to be able to update those settings

Ex partner has got control of my Apple ID My son has just had a messy split from his partner! The partner has an old iPhone that he had ! She has gained access to his Apple ID and changed contact phone number to a mobile she has! He wants to get control back of his account and shut the iPhone down that his ex partner has now got! He is still paying for the account via his bank card! He doesn’t want to loose his music and other stuff stored on iCloud ! He cannot get into account as reset details will be sent to her mobile! Can anyone suggest a suitable approach ?

You are probably encountering Activation lock.

This Apple document discusses the subject.

You will have to get the previous owner to remove it or the iPad will be a paper weight
