Mouse jumps to bottom left corner

When I'm using my Macbook Air (M1, 2020), sometimes the mouse will jump to the bottom left corner of the screen, and I can't move it from there for 2-4 seconds at a time. Even when I'm not touching anything, it will jump there randomly.

When I'm using my computer quite a bit in a day, this will happen maybe 10 times a day. It doesn't seem to be limited to when I'm using any specific application, but I do use Chrome pretty much all the time.

There is no visible damage to the Macbook, and I cannot think of any incident that could have physically damaged it.

My OS is up to date (12.1 on 1/23/22), and my applications are all up to date.

Any help would be great! This getting rather annoying.
