Mac mini virtual keyboard often appears unasked . A Dell keyboard is plugged in .

Any thoughts as to why a virtual keyboard working with a M1 Mac mini , 27" Apple LED cinema display , a Dell keyboard plugged in , pop up three or more occasions per day ?

Applications consistent with spontaneos production of a virtual keyboard are System Preferences , less often Mail , and least directly are Finder & Preview .

The issue greaves me as my thinking orbits the contention of criminal access to my Mac .

Sincerely , Frederick .

The virtual Keyboard , which I engaged , in "Panel Editor" had System preferences selected . I have removed this distinction , replacing "System Preferences" with "Pages" , and "Text Edit" .

It is a remote possibility this entirely resolves spontaneous appearances , never the less I welcome the simple insight into user control . The "Editor Panel" was not familiar to me , and should make clearer why "Virtual Keyboard" has control .

Thank you , Frederick Royce Perez .
