iPad Pro magic keyboard stops working in everything but spotlight

I’ve had this problem for years, across multiple iPads, iPad OS releases and keyboards.

Intermittently, the Magic Keyboard stops acknowledging key presses, except for command-tab to switch apps, and spotlight (which I can bring up with command-space, and type into the spotlight search field.) The trackpad works fine. It eventually fixes itself.

This is clearly a bug that Apple has chosen to ignore. I’d be less upset, but Apple products, including this keyboard, are very expensive.

I’m not posting because I want to be told to reset my iPad, lock & unlock it, restore from iCloud, or update to the latest OS update (I’m already on the latest OS update.). I’m posting because I want everyone to know that Apple has chosen to not fix this problem on their very expensive keyboard, in the hope that they might actually take it seriously. If someone searches Google or these forums for this problem, I want to see that they’re not the only one dealing with this problem, and that there’s nothing they can do to fix it other than to buy a different product.

I’m not the only person with this issue. I see it on the forums, on Reddit, etc. — so I know it would not be hard for Apple Engineering to reproduce this problem if they actually cared to.
