Yesterday, I rented Snyder's Justice League via Apple TV App on Xbox Series X.
The movie spec said Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos, but I only got 4:3 picture format. Surely; this ancient TV format cannot be the only way to view a cinematic feature?
What have I missed?

4K and Dolby Vision are different properties, and say nothing of the aspect ratio. 4:3 can be 4K (2160p) and DV. Most titles don’t mention the aspect ratio, even though it varies.

The aspect ratio of the Snyder Cut is supposed to be 1.33:1. That was the director’s choice. Or more precisely, the director didn’t want to crop to 16:9 from the original footage (as shot for IMAX).
Thanks for clearing that up. After searching the internet, I found that the film is released with a short notice "This film is presented in a 4:3 format to preserver the integrity of Zack Snyder's creative vision."

In the context of television and consumer media, there is generally no confusion regarding the implied aspect ratio of 4K.
