WhatsApp Video call screen turns blank on 13 pro max

When on a WhatsApp call and the other party send me a request to switch to a video call, my screen becomes blank.

then, the person on the other side can see me without me even accepting the video call request and I cannot see the person as my screen is blank.

Even though I can minimize the blank WhatsApp screen and go to other apps, the WhatsApp screen still remains blank when I go back to WhatsApp.

So, I have to end the WhatsApp call and initiate a new video call with the person.

About 5 friends of mine have reported a similar issue.

Can this be fixed?
