Cannot rename a file in the download folder

As you can see from the photo, i am downloading some images and i need to name this one as “3”, but when i try to do that it appears a message saying:

“The name “3” is already in use, try using a different one”

Even tough there is no other file named “3” in that folder.

I have downloaded some other images in the past few days and called one with “3”, but i have since moved those other images on another folder. After seeing this message i have tried to change the name of the other “3” image (that is on another folder) just to be sure, but i still cannot rename the one showed on the photo as “3”.

Can anyone help me solve this problem?

Thanks

Hi Hùrin, thank you for posting in Apple Support Communities.

Sometimes filenames can be resolved by a 'Force Restart' to your iPad especially if the name has been used before, somewhere else. The following link explains how to do this.

Can I also suggest that you consider another naming structure to minimise future issues e.g. Photo1...., Image1..., 25.01.2022_1...
