MacOS Monterey; Airplay Receiver wont turn off

Hello,

I'm having trouble un-checking the airplay receiver box in system preferences > sharing > airplay receiver. I'm up to date on MacOS and every time I try to uncheck the airplay receiver box, close system preferences, and re-open system preferences, the box appears to check itself back on.

Any reason why it's doing this and if there's a way to make sure it stays unchecked?
