Trying to purchase something but won’t let me?

When I try to purchase something from an app called “genshin impact” it shows a pop up saying “Please top up using the device registered to this account”. Why is this happening?

You must use the first device you used to log in to your Genshin account. You can still top-up on a top-up center tho: https://webstatic-sea.mihoyo.com/payment/genshin/


But you will need to log in to the original device when you wanted to purchase Battle Pass.


Edit: First device meaning if you initially used mobile, you should top-up on mobile.
