iPad Pro battery dies after it's fully charged and the case is closed

my iPad Pro 11" (model A1980) is constantly on charge. If the charge is at 100% and I unplug it. It's dead by the end of the night, even without being used & the case is closed. I've read that maybe auto updates in the background of apps is occurring, but I've looked through those as well and turned off like 90% of them. This sucks because this is the first iPad Pro I've had that has this problem. My first gen, iPad mini, and other iPads never had this problem. As long as the case is closed it will hold the battery and slowly die, but with this iPad Pro it just dies quickly. I've retested it while sleeping and it's battery is dead by the am.
