Faulty screen on MacBook Pro

I got a MacBook Pro last October 2021 (13” intel) and the screen has been quite temperamental. If it’s starting up from scratch it works fine, but if I’ve just closed it to sleep and open it back up, it is increasingly just not working. Flickering grey lines on a black screen as attached.

Then if I hard restart it by holding down the power button, it works again. What on earth could be causing that in such a young machine? I’m not used to an Apple product not simply working as it should
