i have not logged into my music for a while that was saved on itunes, i got a new phone and now i find out my music didn't switch over and when i log into itunes i can't find any of my almost 2,000 songs i had saved. how do i get them back in my itunes and on my new phone?

Music isn't saved "in iTunes". It is stored on your computer, devices, and backups, or your iCloud Music Library if you have an ongoing subscription to either iTunes Match or Apple Music. A standard iTunes account gives you access to your unhidden purchase history, nothing more. It is up to you to take steps to keep backup copies of your media or reclaim it from one device before replacing with another.
