I am wary that I get notice in my SETTINGS to update Apple ID Settings. Is this safe or is this phishing?

I got a message in my iPhone 11 in my Settings that I need to update my Apple ID Settings (some account services require to sign in again). Is this safe to sign in and provide my password or is this a scam?

Hello, pablito48. Welcome to the Apple Support Communities. We understand that you recently noticed a prompt to update your Apple ID information. We know that you must be concerned about sharing your information and we’d be happy to help you find the best solution here.

As it turns out, you may notice a prompt like this from time to time when using your Apple devices. Since the prompt is being sent from the internal Settings app on your device, you should be safe to action the prompt and update your Apple ID information.

If this were a pop up message from a web browser or other app, we would not suggest entering your information unless you are sure the request is secure. You can find more helpful information in the following Apple Support articles as well:
