Messenger, Instagram calls not working while using Mobile Data

I have observed that when someone tries to contact me through these applications while on data, I get the notification that they are trying to contact me but the call will not push through after accepting it. Everything seems fine while using wifi. I have an iPhone XS Max with a physical dual sim. Turning off one of the cellular lines and/or turning off the VoLTE of the second cellular line seems to fix the issue. But it’s annoying to do it everytime. Does apple have a fix for this?

Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Communities! It sounds like you are having issues receiving calls on apps with mobile data, but not Wi-Fi. Here are some suggestions:

Check the cellular settings when you switch from the primary to secondary plan to ensure those apps are allowed to use that data: Using Dual SIM with an eSIM
Restart your iPhone
Uninstall and reinstall those affected apps: How to delete apps on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch
