Google redirects on Iphone
When I am asked to re-enter Gmail password on an iPhone I keep getting a message about too many indirects. I have cleaned my cookies and website data. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I had already tried these two suggestions which did not rectify the situation. I had extensive conversations with two Apple Care representatives where we changed numbers of things on the phone and iPad. It worked out on the phone that only by closing "prevent site cross-tracking" in the Safari settings would the password entry page for mail open up to gmail to enter the password. On the iPad we had to go to Advanced in the Safari settings to delete history that was not deleted by the "clear history and website data" to enable entry of the password. Just to note that when I deleted an email account and tried to re-enter it I had the same "too many redirects on Safari" even after I made Chrome my default browser!

Hello grumod,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. It sounds like you’re having trouble with redirects in Safari when trying to re-enter your Gmail password. We’re happy to help.
First, try clearing the history and cookies in Safari: Clear the history and cookies from Safari on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
If that doesn’t help, try removing the Gmail account and then adding it back to your iPhone.
Let us know if that helps.
Take care.
