2020 Macbook Air M1 fake stereo audio

Hi computer nerds! I have a 2020 Macbook Air M1 running OS 11.5.2 and there is this fake surround/wide stereo effect going through the built-in speakers and I hate it. I know i can engage the mono option in Accessibility prefs and that's all good but i like stereo sound too. I am an audio engineer/producer and checking mixes through the computer is a big part of life and this "wide stereo" feature makes it unrealistic and any other media audio is kinda ruined as well. Is there a patch or pref option to just have regular classic stereo sound? I get why apple designers thought this might be a great "enhancement" for the MBA but it sounds horrible and it's really annoying. Any help is really appreciated and Thank you!
