onedrive app constantly processing changes

The OneDrive app on my iMac is in a repetitive cycle of updating files even though there are no changed files.

I have deleted and reinstalled the app from the Apple Store but it still has this bug.

Anyone else?

Finder telling me "The application 'OneDrive' could not be found" but it is there When I'm in Finder and I click on the location 'OneDrive' on the left, it properly shows me all my Microsoft OneDrive folders in the main area, but Finder also gives me a message at the top -- The application "OneDrive" could not be found. And interestingly, to the right of that message, is a button that I could click on, labeled Delete "OneDrive". Yet the OneDrive app is clearly on my computer, and it is active. I do think somehow I have two instances of OneDrive installed, and that may be causing the problem, though I'm not sure what to do about that. Thanks for any help.

Onedrive update fails to open on new Macbook Pro M1pro Hi the OneDrive app update version 22.111.0613 I downloaded a few days ago to a Macbook Pro with M1 pro chip does not open anymore, I did a restart, nothing changes it does not respond. Furthermore the files sync with sharepoint in the cloud plus they are now located somewhere in the Library folder not where they were before, but can only find with spotlight under Onedrive- shared libraries, also new why ? Onedrive is the most frustrating IT experience ever for our company, so many problems when we started using it with office 365 about 3 years ago or so. Dropbox works like a charm, googledrive dies as well as iCloud but no not MS Onedrive! Look forward to any advice and solutions, thanks!

low-priority question: Microsoft OneDrive (for SharePoint) Finder extension unreliable (macOS 10.15.7) I use OneDrive to connect to a SharePoint server through the Finder. The Finder extension provides status icons next to each file and folder in Finder, plus right-click menu items specific to OneDrive. These features aren't always on, for some reason. I don't lose my connection to the SharePoint server, but the status icons and menu choices sometimes disappear. The Extensions System Preferences pane shows that the extension is "on" (i.e., there's a check in the checkbox) even if it appears to be off. The fix is easy: turn off all Finder extensions, then turn on the OneDrive extension. Once the icons reappear, I turn on the other extensions. That said, does anybody know why this happens, and how to prevent it?

Microsoft is working on it. I'd recommend against using OneDrive and using iCloud storage.

Thanks for the reply. My team and I use OneDrive to share files and coordinate our work, and switching to iCloud is not a viable option, unfortunately.
