Is anyone running Big Sur on 2015 MBP?

I know that the 2015 MacBook Pro is on the Big Sur compatibility list, but I want to know if anyone here is actually running it on their 2015 MBP?

My son has been using High Sierra forever. Tonight he upgraded to Catalina (because he just subscribed to Microsoft Office and it will only work with Catalina or greater). Now he can't open his old 32 bit Pages. He tried to download Pages from the App Store and it requires macOS 11.* to run. The reason he was still using High Sierra was that he was using an old 32-bit version of Photoshop. He finally gave in and will now be using Affinity Photo instead. But I digress... I have read a few horror stories about older Macs bricking when upgrading to Big Sur. Thought I would ask the community.

Thanks in advance!

Hi Alfredo,

I run Big Sur 11.6.3 on an MBP early 2015 without any problem.

I installed 11.6.0 from Catalina 10.15.7, so all my app's were 64 bit already.

As I understood the bricking happend to MBP's earlier than 2015 and needed an install of 11.4 before installing 11.6 because of a firmware update needed that was included in 11.4

This can only be done by a Apple service provider because 11.4 can not be downloaded anymore.
