Is my phone covered for screen repair less than a year old

Bought my iphone in May 2011 and need the screen repaired. Will apple care cover this?

No. User caused or accidental damage is not covered by warranty. Warranty overs manufacturing defects.Screen breakage is not a manufacturing defect. You will have to pay the screen replacement fee: link-> iPhone Screen Repair & Replacement - Official Apple Support


If you have Apple Care+, the screen repair fee is very low.

What country are you in? I can't find any country where the previous AppleCare (as an extended warranty only) covers iPhones. But if you have AppleCare+ that should be covered with a small deductible, which is $29 in the United States and similarly priced in other countries.
