Recently, my left airpod microphone can no longer be heard on facetime, the right one was like this for a while. I thought they broke, but i used live listen just to see. And they work just fine, clear as day and neither has a problem, however siri cannot hear either airpod and neither can anyone i call. Anyone know how to fix this?

I had the same problem with mine also. Have you tried them on a non apple device? Mine worked on Samsung no problem!!!! I had sent me in to apple and they came back with liquid damage. I don’t recommend this but it worked for me. So I had them inspected we removed the screen, we noticed a non water soluble substance covering the mic. I picked away at it with a sowing needle ever so gently and the mic works fine now! Looks like resin
