Apple TV 4K 2021 Siri Remote battery drains too fast

I have a brand new Apple TV 4K 2021 which I love and use with my LG C9 OLED and Denon AVR-S750H hooked up to the TVs HDMI and using eARC to the Denon for sound. My remote is losing charge very quickly—-it went from 100% to 59% in one day. I use the TV about 3 hours a day and the Apple TV OS is up to date. Is it a bad remote? Anyone else with this issue? I do use the remote to control the volume on the receiver and turn off and on the equipment. Thanks.
