Problems with apple wallet in apple watch

watchOS 8.4.2 fixed the WatchWalletSyncBug 😀

1. Update Watch
2. I also restart iPhone After the Watch Update and wait some Moments after that the cards were updated

New Cards now also were updated to watch direct after I add them to iPhone Wallet

Its an issue with sync from the apple wallet on your phone to your watch reset phone and watch then open wallet like your going to use your phone to pay for something then double click your watch like your going to pay for something your cards should come up with a red error beneath them tap the red error it will load for a second and then sync and everything will be back to normal =D

YES: Apple has fixed the problem with iOS 15.3.1 and watchOS 8.4.2. I've installed both updates and issue is solved.

Temporary fix:

From Wallet app on your iPhone share pass/ticket/qr through iMessage to yourself.

On Apple Watch go to Message app and add pass/ticket/qr directly from watch.

It works!

I fixed the problem rebooting both devices. Restart the iPhone first seems essential.

Try a restart of both devices (iPhone and Watch). At my watch Wallet App und double click are the same

for reward cards with Barcode you can try „Wallet Creator“ from at2 GmbH

it will create a simple Card with the Barcode in the middle. Also you can Delfine Color and Names.

And you can Share the cards from the iPhone Wallet via iMessage to the Watch.

Yes, same phenomenon here (and a few more mentions in the AppleWatch subreddit).

Not sure if it's just strange timing, or if it is to the iOS 15.3 and WatchOS 8.4 update that happened Wednesday, that seems to be the time the Wallet stopped syncing.

Interestingly, the sync does work from Watch to Phone, if you remove a coupon/ticket on your watch it will be removed on your phone as well. No operations on the phone does sync to the watch though, neither added or removed tickets.

I tried chat support with Apple yesterday, but they were at that point unaware of the issues. The agent simply emailed me links to the support guide on how to add/remove items to the Wallet.

Series 3 took a bit longer after rebooting before it was up and syncing as it should again, but I'm assuming that's just the older versions being a bit slower.

May also be quite some additional housekeeping (throwing out upgrade files, old/expired data etc.) after the upgrade that plays into this.

Problem solved here too with WatchOS 8.4.2 :D

Hi everyone, I am the one who opened the discussion on reddit, for a few days I noticed this very annoying problem…. Do not restore the Apple Watch because it is useless they are just a waste of time I think it is a bug of 8.4 or of iCloud not yet fixed

I have the same issue since I upgrade my Apple Watch 4 to 8.4

no more synchro between iPhone wallet to watch wallet

i even upgrade to 8. 4.1 restarted both iPhone and Watch without success

deleted cards or added one are not synchro

for the time being I sent my cards to myself via iMessage and save on Watch

Seems not fully fixed. 8.4.2 + 15.3

When opening the Wallet App directly from the watch home screen all is good.

When double tapping the side button, the cards are different, no new ones are added/synced.
