Screen Mirroring from iPhone to Mac not working

My iPhone XR Screen Mirroring connects to My M1 Mac fine, but my wife's XR iPhone doesn't see the Mac. All devices are fully updated & on the same Wifi network. I've rebooted all the devices to no avail. The only thing coming to mind is that perhaps my wife's iPhone is logged in as a different user as my Mac. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Ali Soltani,

Thanks for that info. It sounds like there may be a setting causing that. Per the information in Wirelessly stream video, photos, and audio from your iPhone to a Mac, you'll want to go to  > System Preferences > Sharing > AirPlay Receiver. Once there, change "Allow AirPlay For" to "Anyone on the same network" or "Everyone" and it should allow your wife to AirPlay to your Mac.

We hope that helps.

Hey there, and welcome to Apple Support Communities, Ali Soltani.

We see that you're having some trouble with screen mirroring on your wife's iPhone. We've got some questions to better understand what's going on.

•Which iOS version is installed on that iPhone?

•Is she able to use AirPlay to mirror her screen to other devices?

•Which macOS version is installed on your Mac?

We look forward to hearing from you.

All devices below are on the same wifi network. In Screen Mirroring window, each device finds others as follows:

  • My iPhone XR on 15.3: finds Roku & Mac
  • Wife's iPhone XT on 15.3: finds Roku
  • iPad Air 2 on 15.3: finds Roku
  • MacBook Pro on 12.1: finds Roku

Wife's iPhone & iPad are logged into her Apple ID. The Mac & my iPhone are logged into my Apple ID.

I restarted & later reset the Netgear AC1600 Model C6250 modem/router but outcomes did not change.
