Can you please add the feature of blocking texts from everyone except your contacts? I am getting multiple pornographic email texts on a daily basis. I have researched and called AT&T multiple times. I am so tired of it. Their solution is forward to 7726, then they just send the filth from another email. Why should I have to do all the work? Please consider adding a feature like this, if you can block calls from people not in your contacts why can’t you block texts?
You can send your suggestion here: https://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone/ so Apple will see it but since these are SMS texts (green bubble) they are not under the purview of Apple, they are your cell service provider's (AT&T) issue and it does get old sending things to AT&T. To entirely eliminate these emailed group SMS texts is going to require a solution from the FCC and all the cell service providers who are also not happy about the situation.
If all of your Contacts are using iMessage then you could change your account and disable SMS texting.
