When I am watching Ted Lasso or any apple original film on my 2020 13" MacBook pro there is a cracking/poping noise coming from the speakers. This only occurs when the scene has background music.

Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities. To verify, does this issue occur if you connect an external speaker or headphones? If not, what if you adjust the volume of your Mac? Does it only occur if the volume is set high? Let us know and we’ll go from there.

It only occurs when using the built-in speakers and occurs even at the lowest volume setting. When using AirPods it sounds normal
