I have a Macbook pro 16 inch 2021(macOS monetery) and iPad 8th gen iOS 15 and on youtube it shows that there is an add displays option on the display preferences, but when I check there is no such menu, and when I look at airplay options, there is nothing showing up on the menu, when I click airplay to macbook on ipad it says unable to connect.

Both devices are on the same WiFi and are on the same apple ID
Facing the same problem, 100% sure they're on same WIFI and apple ID too.
same problem, no fix. Wrong aspect ratio on iPad. Called apple and they were not helpful.
I am experiencing the same issue with two different iPads both newer one is an iPad Pro 3rd generation.
