Multiple contacts for same name

You may have the same contacts in multiple email accounts. Either remove the contacts from the rarely used email account or disable contacts from the rarely used mail account in the Mail app.

Hope it is OK to join in. I noticed none of my contacts had pictures in iMessage so I took a look in Contacts; I have 9 duplicate entries for all of my contacts (100s). I’m assuming this might be the problem. How did this happen? How do I resolve this? Thank you.

This has happened in a previous update a few years ago. Not all contacts were duplicated. I’m still finding them.
