Keyboard and Trackpad

Recently the keyboard and trackpad are unresponsive. Have tried resetting the PRAM and SMC to no avail. Can't even log in to macbook as I can't enter my password anymore. Is this a known issue ? Before being logged out the trackpad would be unresponsive at times but now the whole keyboard is too.

Hi,

Try to connect wired keyboard and mouse to your MacBook Pro if they work. In the case they work, try to check your MacBook Pro with Apple Diagnostics if it reports hardware related error(NDK001, NDK003,NDK004 for keyboard and NDR001, NDR003 to NDR006 for trackpad).

If you have a 2015 MBPro, then most likely the Trackpad Flex Cable has failed which is very common with this model when both the keyboard & trackpad fail at the same time. Other model laptops can also have both the keyboard & trackpad fail at the same time if there is a Trackpad or Trackpad Cable failure (or even Logic Board failure).
