USB C power adapter failure

My 2017 Mac book USB C power adapter is not working. This is the second replacement that has failed with the same issue. It gets very hot and stops working permanently. Does anyone know how to fix this before I waste more money on another one? Thanks!

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 12.0

If this is the second time for this, you should take it to the Apple Genius Bar to have it check out. Sounds like a hardware problem. You would need to call and make an appointment.
