How do I determine which version of Mac OSX is on my iMac? I am setting up my computer and don't have access to the apple menu yet.
There's no way anyone here can possibly answer your question. Is it a new Mac? if so, very likely it will have Monterey Installed. It could be Big Sur. Why not just go about setting it up and then you will have access to the Apple menu?
Go to the menu and select About this Mac. In the window you'll see the info you're looking for:
