How to send iCal invitations from an Apple ID email alias?

When I add someone to the invitees of an iCal meeting or event, Mail sends out the invitation using my Apple ID (my main iCloud email address).

I have created E-Mail aliases and when composing an email message I am able to select one of the aliases as the sender . I want to use the aliases for sending meeting invitations so that the invitees don’t see my main Apple ID.

Is there no way of doing that ?

Mac mini, macOS 12.0

After this was escalated to a higher tier at Apple Support, it was concluded that iCal lacks the feature of sending meeting invitations from anything other than the main Apple ID.

So in Mail or iMessage or FaceTime, there is an option to select one of the Apple ID email aliases as the origin address (in Mail it can be chosen when composing a new email by selecting from the 'From' pull-down list; in iMessage it can be set in "Start new conversations from" in Preferences; in FaceTime it can set in "Start new calls from" in Preferences).

Unfortunately Apple never added this feature to iCal. Anytime you add someone as an invitee to an iCal event/meeting in any of your iCloud calendars, they will receive an email from your main Apple ID with an invitation attached, thus revealing your Apple ID to them.
