Can’t delete birthday from calendar

hi there,

I am trying to delete some unwanted birthdays from my calendar but there are few that can’t be deleted. For instance, the source of the birthday is “contacts” but when open the contact card there is not a birthday record. Even if I delete the contact (which is not what I want to do), the birthday event remains. As well as changing the birthday.

No, I’m not subscribed to any other calendar apps nor can I “unsubscribe” from the event or tap the “i” button as there’s isn’t one. I’ve honestly look and tried everything this is my last resort.

please help me :(

Hello ruby-mae128,

We're glad you thought to ask Apple Support Communities about the issue you're having with birthdays not syncing correctly with the Calendar app. Let's open the Calendar app, then at the bottom of the screen tap "Calendars". From here, turn off the Birthdays calendar and choose "Done". Restart your iPhone, then turn the Birthdays calendar back on. Does it update as expected?
