Metro Exodus crashing on M1 MBP?

Yes, I installed it twice. I even downloaded it again. It ran the very first time and now crashes on every launch.

I set the flag to "scale to fit below under camera" as advised by some. No change.

The MBP is brand new. Almost zero new software on it. (just Logic pro and opera browser)

OK. So, tried a few things and this worked - I figured the first thing the game does is try to play the intro sequence videos...

I don't remember the filenames. But if you go in and disable (I just crippled the name's file-type suffix) the startup videos it should stop crashing.

You enter the package with "show contents" then go to resources.

The added bonus is the game then always starts up fast.

I'm really waiting to see who else is having this problem and if they had a trick to fix it.

I tried scaling it for the camera slot and it didn't work.

Maybe for some.
