I'm new to Apple TV so hoping this is a pretty easy question. I have an existing subsciption to one of the additional channels (Paramount+). How can I add the existing subscription to my Apple TV? It only seems to want to give me the option of a 7 day trial without offering an ability to sign in to the existing subscription.

To download the Paramount+ app, go to the App Store on your Apple TV and search for "Paramount+" and it will be the first result. Download it and launch it and you should see the same thing I saw upon opening it.

I just downloaded the Paramount+ app on my Apple TV and right when I open the app, I am given the options to signup, watch free episodes, or sign in. (See below) If you aren't seeing this screen, maybe try removing the app and redownloading it.
I don't have Paramount+, so I don't know exactly how to activate it on Apple TV. Can you be more specific about what is showing up when you open the app? Is there no way to enter account details?
Yeah. All I get is an option for a trial. Which would obviously be separate from my existing subscription. Not real interested in paying for 2 subscriptions to the same thing.
I just have it show up as a "channel", not as an app. Admittedly, I have no idea how to download it as a separate app though. But, right now, all I see is:
Thanks @owen_1001. For the empire built on (supposedly) the best and easiest UX, that was categorically NOT obvious. Nor a good UX. Nor easy. But, I've now got the idea.
