Macbook Pro battery drain whilst sleeping

Hello,

I've noticed over the past few days that my Macbook Pro 2019 battery has been draining whilst it is in sleep mode.

I can see that this is the case via the usage in battery settings. It also says that the screen is on for 20 mins every hour whilst in sleep mode. I've also checked activity monitor but there doesn't seem to be any applications that are using the battery according to this monitor.

I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction regarding this as I am out of ideas. I assume that it has something to do with the screen being on whilst supposedly sleeping.

I have recently updated to Monterey 12.2, but not sure if this is the cause.

We understand that you've noticed battery drain while your MacBook Pro is in sleep mode. Let's see how we can help. Does your MacBook Pro support Power Nap? If so, do you have the feature enabled? You can check by going to Settings > System Preferences > Battery. When Power Nap is enabled it lets your computer stay up to date while in sleep mode and using battery power. It allows your Mac to check for new messages in Mail, updates Calendar events, and updates other iCloud events, which could cause some battery usage while in sleep mode. Learn more here: Turn Power Nap on or off on Mac.

If that doesn't seem to be the cause, reply to this message.

Best regards.

Hello.

I turned power nap off and left my MacBook in sleep mode overnight, by this morning the battery was at 0%. I would also add that I think this has only become an issue since updating to 12.2 - I wonder if something in the new update is causing this problem?

I also checked activity monitor, but this only shows the past 12 hours. By the time I had turned on the MacBook to check the battery level 12 hours have already so I can't get an accurate idea of what is using the battery. This is how I understand activity monitor to work. If I'm incorrect then I'm sure someone will correct me.
