Since updating to iOS 15.3, my car won't stay connected; bluetooth keeps connecting and disconnecting

I have the same problem after update 15.3/15.3.1 with bluetooth connections with audi 2011 handsfree - on/off connections many times in one call. My wife has 15.2.1 and bluetooth works pefect.

This is an iOS problem. It’s not a hardware problem and not a BT device issue.

Apple has had similar issues with BT implementation in iOS, and it always takes an iOS update to correct it. Further, they don’t acknowledge it.

Sit tight and continue being patient.

I've opened the ticket today. Seams to be a long way.

They asked me to wipe my iphone and install clean iOS than check the issue again. It is possible some leftovers interferes with a new iOS version.

In a next step they will collect my iOS logs to catch up issue during the test call.

Same problem Ford Fiesta 63 - need my phone to stay connected to elderly relative, had booked costly appointment at garage for next week but after reading these comments, seems to be an iOS 15.3 issue, so I’ll cancel appointment and await a fix please, sooner rather than later??? Do you all agree, or does anyone know a better fix?? Thanks

If you're still having problems, please open a ticket. Have you had to do a network reset on your phone during this time? I worked with a tech for hours and tried all sorts of things--maybe some of those things helped facilitate mine working--but I really suggest opening a ticket.

remove and re-pair is always my first thing to try. I'm on 15.4 and still no luck - I've since given up with this particular pairing. There is an issue introduced starting with 14.x affecting some older cars.

Hang in there, everyone. The next version of iOS will be out in the next several days, and is expected to fix the BT issues.

Did it work? I recommend opening a ticket if it didn't. I know I had to remove my phone from devices on my car and then re-pair to make it work.

iPhone 13. iOS 15.3. BMW 2014. Never had BT issues with my iPhones in that car, but now BT is unusable!. Can’t have a call because BT keeps disconnecting in the middle of the call and even “kills” my cat BT and have to wait for my car to detect my iPhone again.

power cycled the phone, unpaired BT, set my Iwatch in airplane mode. Nothing helps!. Do I need a new car because Apple broke BT compatibility with older versions of Bt????

I am having the same issue in my 2015 Ford Focus. My phone will not connect via Bluetooth at all. I have done all of the same steps as fark007 and nothing. Almost immediately after try to connect the phone the screen says "Phone Disconnected".

What is weird is that my music will stream via Bluetooth but the phone will not work at all.

I use my phone mainly for work and I am in the car driving probably 75% of the time. I have been pulling off in gas stations and parking lots to take calls safely. Can Apple please expedite a solution to this problem?

same issue with my audi A4 2012 and iphone 11 after IOS update to 15.3. connection fails randomly during calls. dangerous because of the sudden distraction. I thought Apple would care a bit more on reliability….

apple let’s get a software update to fix these issues, this is clearly a known issue now. Tesla phone key won’t stay connected, whoop band won’t stay connected. Bluetooth turned on and off fixes it briefly…
