Cannot find an option to turn on Closed Captions while watching shows through Apple TV app on my Samsung tv

Additionally, your TV may have global captioning settings for defaults that the Apple TV app may follow. Else the Apple TV app may have in-app Settings for that. Use subtitles and captioning in the Apple TV app - Apple Support
