Hidden Files on USB Drives

I store machine embroidery data files on my MacBook. When I transfer those files unto a usb drive a bunch of hidden files get written onto the usb. Then I plug the usb into my embroidery machine and it can see those hidden files but they're bad for the machine.

How do I prevent these hidden files being written to the usb? Please help!!

Hello  jakess61,

Thanks for reaching out in Apple Support Communities! We understand your concern with the files you're trying to transfer onto a USB drive. We're happy to assist you in any way possible.

Check to make sure these files are the proper type for your macOS version prior to transferring them to the USB drive. You can also just delete the files from the USB drive. You can also contact the developer of the software to see if there's a way to stop the hidden files from being transferred: Contact a third-party vendor

Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities, and have a great day!
