Deleting a song from a playlist

I just started an apple music subscription and cannot manage my playlists effectively. If I want to remove a song from a playlist, my only option is to remove it from the library and I am warned that it will also be removed from any other playlists. This is terrible! It seems to be the same whether I attempt this on my iPhone 13 mini, apple TV, apple music online or iPad. We need to be able to manage our playlists without removing songs completely when we just want to transfer them to a different list. When will we have this option...or am I just missing something?

Hm, just found that I CAN delete a song from a playlist without deleting from the entire library and other playlists, but only on my iPhone
