is it safe to charge a MB pro 16 2021 with a 45 W power adapter?

is it safe to charge a 2021 macbook pro 16 (that comes with 140W charger) using a 45W charger? I understand that it will be slower and may continue to deplete if I use it while charging with a 45W, but are there any other repercussions?
