Macbook Air battery charge not increasing

Hello,

I have a MacBook Air (13-inch, Early 2014). My battery status shows charging when the charger is connected, but the charge percentage isn't increasing. I have reset the SMC, but there is no difference. I recently updated the OS to BigSur Version 11.6.3. I had replaced the battery some months ago. Please help. I have 1% battery, so my laptop goes off unless the charger is connected.

Thanks!

Troubleshooting Mac Power:

A. Black Mac Screen:

Go Here: If your Mac doesn't Turn On or Start Up - Apple Support

Using External Devices: Try Resetting the SMC and NVRAM, but this time, using an external keyboard. Connect an external monitor and see if you get an output.

B. Mac Power Issues:

Try a New Charger:

If it is currently charging from a charger, then use a new charger:

Did you have Apple or an Apple Authorized Service Provider replace this notebook's battery ... or used a third-party / DIY?

For the latter, where did you get the replacement battery from? After installation, did you charge it to 100%, and then, keep charging it for, at least, two more hours before using it.

Was this an issue immediately after the battery was replaced?

You are welcome.

Where to go from here: Get some canned air, if you want to clean it. Use a microfibre cloth to get dust off.
