Hello,

Thank you.

Brother's ControlCenter has not been updated for macOS Catalina and later versions. You may want to try Apple's Image Capture, or possibly Preview, for scanning.

The Brother MFC-J5320DW is listed in About AirPrint - Apple Support as a model with support for the driverless AirPrint technology. This means that you should be able to use it without having to install drivers, provided that the printer and the computer are connected to the same network (Wi-Fi router). An AirPrint-enabled printer is compatible with macOS (Monterey).
