I am the Mac OS Monterey and it seems stuck on less than one minute remaining. Any idea what is going on?

I am loading the MacOS Monterey on my Mac and it seems stuck on “less than one minute remaining “. Any ideas what is going on? I am unable to get my computer to open.

iMac 21.5″, macOS 10.13

What happens if you restart the Mac?

Press and hold the Power button until the Mac shuts down is necessary.
