Can i exchange my ipad air with a macbook?

Hello,

i purchased an ipad air with a magic keyboard on monday from apple store in regent street, london, united kingdom.

I purchased it for my postgraduate research studies, and while im exploring it, i didnt find the thing that i need the most from it,

i cant put an endnote extension on word Microsoft on the ipad, and this is really important for me.

no one has told me i cannot do this. Everyone told me that its like the macbook but more convenient.

i was wondering if i can return my brand new ipad with the magic keyboard and exchange it with a macbook air?
