If you are seeking the best quality sound, you might be best advised to slick with analogue 3.5mm/0.25” headphones and an appropriate adapter/DAC.
Apple market their own inexpensive USB-C to 3.5mm Adapter that supports 24-bit audio - to which you can connect good quality headphones. You’ll certainly have a wider choice of analogue headphones - and they will ultimately prove to be more flexible.
