No headphones on iPad Pro 11

To directly connect headphones to your iPad, you will need an appropriate adapter. While the are many USB-C headphone adapters from which to choose, Apple themselves market an inexpensive adapter:

Be aware that there are different wiring standards for TRRS connections - and not all headphones are correctly wired for use with Apple devices. In general, there are three main wiring standards for 3.5mm TTRS connections - and they are not interchangeable:

• CTIA (Apple)
• OMTP (Nokia)
• Camcorder AV

What "these headphones" are you talking about?

Two suggestions:

1) Not knowning what adaptor you're using, I'd check if it is an Apple one or, at least, if it is MFI (MadeForiPhones/iPads) certified.

2) I would try to contact Sony support team and ask them about compatibility for your specific headphones model.
