Apple Watch not waking on wrist raise

Hello, ever since the watchOS 8.4.1 update, my Apple Watch doesn’t wake when I wake my wrist. I’ve turned it off and on in the display setting and theater mode is turned off. This only happened after the update.

yesterday I completely unpaired my Apple Watch and had it restored back to the watchOS 8 update and it worked fine. Then it updated over night while charging. I don’t want to have to unpair it all over again, if anyone has any suggestions on fixing this, it would be appreciated!

I’ve been having a similar issue! The last few days my watch has just turned itself off whilst wearing and unable to turn back on except when in the charger! I’m trying a few things and will get back to Apple support if it doesn’t work!!

Theater Mode, Do Not Disturb, we’re not enabled. But the force restart did the trick. Thank you!

Try a force restart:

To force restart your Apple Watch, press and hold both the side button and Digital Crown for at least 10 seconds, then release both buttons when you see the Apple logo.

Swipe up on the bottom of the watch screen to open Control Center. See if Theater Mode is turned on. Turn it off if it is.
