I can't call a contact in Skype

I had a contact that we tried to Skype and it did not work so I deleted Skype and I deleted a contact and then put the contact back in but it still doesn’t give me an option to Skype even though I’ve got the correct area code and everything but every other number or contact in my phone has icon right where I can Skype please help
